Who we are

What we collect, and when

We collect personal data only when you send it to us. There is no account, no shop and no newsletter on this website.

The enquiry form. When you submit the form on our Contact page we receive your name, your company or organisation, your email address, your contact number, the enquiry type you chose, the project or site location if you give one, your message, and any drawings, specifications or tender documents you attach.

Server records. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include the IP address making the request, the page requested and the time. These are used for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to prepare a quotation, and to carry out any work that follows from it. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Who else sees it

Enquiries are emailed to our own staff and stored on this website. Our hosting provider necessarily processes the data in order to run the site and deliver the email. We do not pass your details to any other third party unless you ask us to, or unless we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that does not lead to work is kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, and is then deleted. Enquiries often resurface when a tender is re-issued, which is why we do not delete them sooner.

Where an enquiry becomes a project, the enquiry and its attachments become part of the project record and are kept for the life of the project and for six years after it completes. Six years is the period within which a claim can be brought under the Limitation Act, so we need the record for that long.

Server access logs are kept for 90 days.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress may set a session cookie if a member of our staff signs in to administer the site.

Your rights under the PDPA

Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act you may ask us what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. Write to admin@stormwater.com.sg and we will respond within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer deal with your enquiry.

Data Protection Officer

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer, who is responsible for making sure we handle personal data in the way this policy describes. If this policy changes we will update this page.
